Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

23 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've read a lot of posts. Commented on a few. Learned some things and have been greatly entertained by the generally friendly banter and the not so friendly ones whenever KK is involved. All in all, I'd say it's been a pretty fun experience. This is my girl... since the consensus is that it isn't real unless I post a picture. We are happy to make your acquaintance. 20150825_121834_HDR_zpsqnb9rrb7.jpg

POST 2Original post

Welcome and enjoy the banter. Make sure to participate despite the Internet trolls.

POST 3Original post

Looks clean congrats. Enjoy it and feed the trolls.

Thanks! And I thought people always said "don't feed the trolls"?

POST 6Original post

Haha Welcome. Nice looking 996! Lowered, obviously. Any other mods?

POST 7Original post

Nice looking car, but how do you know it's a girl? Did you finger it's sump?

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Not aware of any mods that were done to it but a spectacularly lengthy service history all by one owner, at a single dealership. IMSB, RMS, clutch, water pump all done at intervals prior to my purchase. Rolling on stock 18s but I haven't looked into ride height. Does it seem lowered? Didn't occur to me until you mentioned it...

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

And you had to make it dirty... Silly TT driver...

POST 10Original post

Congrats on your Porsche. How many miles, what year and options?

It is a 2002 C2. Bought it with 96K on the odometer. Very simply appointed with supple leather option, Bose sound and black interior.

Those are stock wheels from the 99-01 models. And yes from this angle, it does look lowered. Welcome.

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 12690392

My mistake; I meant to say that those are OEM factory option 18' Turbo-Looks.

POST 15Original post

Quotes source post: 12688612

Nice! Sure looks lowered to me - maybe you have coilovers? This is my 2004 C2 (basically the same car) with 030 suspension @ stock ride height.

I've always liked seeing pics of your car. I must be biased... Looks like some research is in order. It never occurred to me to ask about suspension work having been done on the car; only that big ticket preventative maintenance items were done at some point. Knowing that this car was tracked at times makes the likelihood higher that some chassis work was done I think.

POST 17Original post

Welcome and congratulations! Looks very clean.

Nonetheless it's still MK1 Turbo wheels as those are Turbo Look 1 wheels. The '02's came with Turbo 2 look wheels. Look at the difference between yours and Triple Black's car.

POST 19 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Looks like one more item to investigate along with the ride height.

POST 20Original post

very clean car. yes, looks similar to mine, lowered with h&r springs.

POST 21 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well, the C2 is going in for an oil change and look-see this Friday. So I'll have the techs poke around and hopefully get a clearer picture of the suspension works done.

POST 22 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Mystery solved! My C2 is in fact lowered on Bilstein Coilovers!
