I got to check with them on that, glad to see I am not the only one using 911 for grocery shopping at Walmart; you buying mods at Walmart explains why your turbo was so cheap, you have that turbonator electric turbo don't you?

True you don't have to worry about getting tagged by a passing car in the right lane while getting ready for a curbside clash, but you do have to run all the way around the car to get at it which will leave you open to early attacks from your opponent.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

26 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Trying to find the best place to mount/store my 50" claymore so it's handy yet securely stowed. The only thing I've come up with so far involves plunging it through the frunk lid. which would leave 2+ feet sticking above the hood, Excalibur style. While this leaves it out of hand initially, it does present an opportunity to jump up on the hood ala Errol Flynn, and with its greater than 4 foot reach, I think the frunk lid could actually be a defensible space. I could retreat to the roof if necessary, and if I have the foresight to open the sunroof, I also have the option to drop down through the sunroof opening to duck especially close swings by a greatsword or an ax. Any suggestions appreciated.

POST 3Original post

Open the frunk, then put it through the lid perpendicular to the ground. This way when you close the lid you don't have to worry about Arthur wannabes jumping on your car to try to pull it out and you can also impale those pesky jay walkers.

POST 4Original post

DTMiller made it to San Diego today, didn't he? You guys are sitting in a bar pounding tequila poppers with a bartender shaking your heads and blowing an obnoxiously loud whistle, right? Damn, wish I was there. BTW, I am highly disappointed that this is not a more technical thread. I thought the moderator from another forum and a guy who won't spend $17 to join as a member told you yesterday to stop having any fun on here because you are driving all of the Rennlist sponsors away. I mean, you can clearly tell that your shenanigans have hurt the 996 forum - nobody ever hangs out in the 996 forum anymore. Because of you, the 996 forum is the least popular forum on Rennlist. All you have to do is go to the general forum homepage and look at all of the different forums and see how many people are viewing each forum. The proof is right there. Here, let me go check right now . . . OK, I'm back from checking the "viewing" numbers on the different forums. Uhh, nevermind.

I was going to say "FRONT TOWARDS ENEMY" but i see your enemy is within.

POST 7Original post

Got excited for a moment there when I read the thread title, thought there was going to be explosives involved.

We're so drunk the bartender has to shake out heads for us. Sadly not yet. But soon.

POST 9Original post

Buy the suction cup roof rack and mount your sword on top of it. I need someone to test out the suction cup roof rack at high speed; I want to use it on the AMG when going snowboarding this winter, but I know that I will forget that I have it on the roof at one point and smash it.

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I thought about bolting it on the side of the car, next to the front wheel - I think it might straighten the airflow.

POST 11Original post

Quotes source post: 12711865

Ummm... Yeah... Small wing-like device help onto smoothish metal at highway speeds... Save a life, go with gutter mounts!

POST 12Original post

Hy Kalash - I heard Walmart has quality roof racks. You might want to check it out next time you're shopping for Russian caviar there (they sell that under the "Great Value" brand, right?). Well, that's where I get all my mods for the turbo. Fast enough for my car - then fast enough for your AMG, baby.

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Here's how it looks mounted up on the car. This guy I know has been doing it for Lambos and MacLarens, and 3 people have already asked me why I have a sword bolted to my 911. It does seem to interfere a bit with full-lock steering, but otherwise it seems ideal

No GV caviar unfortunately, have to buy Romanoff. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Romanoff-B...-2-oz/10321130 DSC00110_zpsf6e8a548.jpg

That doesn't seem to be very practical. True you don't have to worry about getting tagged by a passing car in the right lane while getting ready for a curbside clash, but you do have to run all the way around the car to get at it which will leave you open to early attacks from your opponent.

POST 17Original post

Should be mounted on drivers side in case of a le mans style SPRINT to your car.

Definitely pointed the wrong way in that photo, unless it rotates forward once you get up to speed.

Next thing you know...people will be gluing spatulas to their cars...

POST 22Original post

I hear that a new Intra-cabin Metallic Scabbard (IMS) may be released to the market soon, exclusively for water-cooled M96 engined cars. I haven't seen drawings yet--patents pending of course--but I hear it'll be fantastic and will completely eliminate unwanted Claymore-related damage.

POST 23Original post

Quotes source post: 12712474

The single claymore version is already available. It's the new dual claymore option that is yet to be released. It'll only be available for the earlier cars though, but that's just because they are more awesome.

Are we going to have M96 Mid-Evil Times soon?
