hi all, had to go to away and left my car on the drive for a week, came back and stared it up and as soon as i did the car started to violently vibrate coming from the engine. took it for a drive around the estate and it vibrated as i but my foot on the accelerator the vibration stated again. check engine light started to flash orange so drove it back parked it back on the drive and then it started to smoke up coming out of the exhaust. any ideas in to what would be wrong ?

Not a clue but dont start it again. Get a cheap code reader and give us the error. It might give us all a starting point to help.

Where are you? Was the car parked in Drive (gear?) or in the Driveway (your garage's driveway)? Was it inside, or outside for the week? Did it rain a lot? Did you wash the car? Did you work on the car before you left?

I bet it was raining during that time and it's a cracked coil pack. Pull the codes and you'll find a misfire code on one or more cylinders, if so, change all six plugs and coil packs. Consider doing the spark plug tubes at same time.

England, say no more. Your air filter and engine bay were probably soaked with water. Remove the air filter and dry it. If you have not changed your ignition coils for 30,000 miles, change those too. Start the engine, let it run until its smooth. Clear the engine codes.
