Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

This spoiler is the most natural looking spoiler Ive seen for a 996 Carrera. Anyone know where to get it? Owner of this car doesnt know.

POST 2Original post

It's a OEM aero wing, had one on my car before https://content.eu.porsche.com/prod/...25811A00428257 Partnumber: 99651290300G2X

POST 3Original post

I think the kit is still available but it won't be cheap.

Cool! Ill track it down and see how painful the price is. Sure looks good though

POST 5Original post

Getty Design has a fiberglass aftermarket version.

Pretty sure that's what I have. It's almost identical to the OEM profile, except in fiberglass. I think I paid about $1K for it as opposed to $6K (plus painting) for the other. Installed it about 4 years ago and is holding up great. Can't find the receipt and I don't remember where I bought it.

thanks for the info. I cant get the Getty site to pull up. Not sure if they are still in business. Ill drop $1k but not $6k

POST 9Original post

They have been in business for a long time. I think, but may be wrong that Getty and Mike Shaw are located at the same address or next to each other and may share some parts for sale. So check out Mike Shaw as well. Looks like the Getty website is being blocked by my security software. May be a short term issue. I was on the site about a week ago and it was fine. Good luck with your search.

POST 10Original post

Getty = old men. There web site it pretty ****ty but they answer the phone......sometimes. i have there decklid and cup wing but they fit like race car parts and r perfect for the price.

POST 11Original post

I believe Better Bodies in California has an aftermarket version that is similar .

It looks like the cheaper dealers are selling the kit for ~$4,500. There was one on Ebay for a long time but I don't see it now. Maybe it will get relisted. Unless you find one that is already painted in your body color, I think you'll be hard pressed to find anything with a $1,000 budget. I got a 'deal' for mine on Craigslist, $700 for the wing and decklid. Between paint and some other missing bits I needed, I think I was into it for $1,800 - $2,000. If you do find something used, here's the full list of parts you'll need for the install.

awesome! Thanks for all that info. Your car looks amazing. Love that wing!!

POST 14Original post

OP - What color do you need? I have a very good replica piece Ill get to you for $100 plus the price of shipping. This was on my car for years. Now its my #3 wing option, so itll never get put back on my car.
