Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I broke 3 tabs on the side cover on my c4S. one is the old, one is the Porsche got me. I think its too warped. They said they wont take back since I tried to put on. I got both ends on but the middle wouldnt connect. Advice, thoughts?

POST 2Original post

Heat gun & pressure. This plastic material is fairly pliable when it's hot. Use like an ironing board and perhaps even try using a clothes iron with heavy cloth over it . You can reduce the cloth buffer as you see fit... Hold the shape as it cools and it will firm up as it cools off.

For the broken tabs, maybe try repairing with super glue and ashes (or baking soda). I haven't tried this, but looks viable: You Tube

POST 4Original post

I'd stop paying on that twist piece of crap you got from Porsche. They should be embarrassed.

POST 5Original post

I agree with Doc, use a heat gun to make it more flexible. I've put two of these side skirts on my cars. Mine were warped too, but they will straighten in time.

POST 6Original post

What the heck happened to Porsche? I bought a full a full set from AutoAtlanta a few years ago with new brackets and bolts. Both covers came straight and in perfect shape. Now if I only had the ambition to go hang them on the car...

POST 7Original post

You might have to heat a good portion of it in a cardboard box, they definitely sent you a defective product but it's workable
