Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Still blows plenty hot and cold, although I did have my AC system checked for leaks and flushed out with nitrogen then refilled with freon about 6 months ago.

At $350.00 for the set, I see a flap repair in my future though.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I guess a tiny bit of cooler air is still getting through.
Nope. Mine blew it all out over ten years ago, and I never did anything about it. Still blows plenty hot and cold, although I did have my AC system checked for leaks and flushed out with nitrogen then refilled with freon about 6 months ago. It was blowing cool but not cold. Figured after 24 years it was due. Now it will freeze your butt off.
So what issue do others have with the blending? Mine is blowing foam too (and probably was prior to my ownership) but heat feels hot and ac feels cold.
Fixing the blend gates looks like a big job and assume just up to the owner, not required?
Once mine blew all the foam out I had problems with the windshield fogging up on cooler days.
It would fog up so badly and quickly that it was a hazard to driving.
I make a draft dodger that I kept on the dash for a while because I didn't want to do the fix.
When I finally broke down and fixed both blend doors, I wished I hadn't waited so long.
I still get 1 small strip of fog on cooler days, but it doesn't affect being able to see safely.

I read somewhere that if you directed the flow to the floor, there would be no air flowing out of the defroster. After living with the issue for a while, I tried it. Worked perfectly and no more condensation.
Give it a try.
Mine blew out over the two years I had the car and hadn't noticed any difference with the directional heating/cooling or worse condensation. Guess it might be worse in certain humid/temp areas. I agree, the fix is a lot cheaper than the vent covers.
