Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
The cars look very much like they were designed with gentlemen racers destroying body parts and keeping repair / replacement costs reasonable in mind.
Leading evidence: 'Repair / replacement costs reasonable in mind' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Repair / replacement costs reasonable in mind' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

It may be different today, but a few years ago I asked RPM if they had tested the Ducktail for lift and downforce.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

This is to move the conversation away from my build thread as we talked over there about it...The goal is to talk about functional aero for our cars diffusers, spoilers, lips, dive planes, oh my...
I think we can have more conversation between on mechanical grip, aero created downforce, etc..... To kick this off awhile back I was contemplating what to do with the rear of the car between Fixed style spoiler or duck tail and I found this interesting video about the ducktail.. enjoy...

yeah it's a lot of work i would imagine.. I like the knowledge piece this video provided though.. I'd like ot learn more about dive planes, and or other front spoiler options
I guess Ill leave these here. An example of what a GT300 team was doing way back in the day. Aero has advanced a lot and if you look at some of the examples of current Pikes Peak cars where DF is paramount and the drag is offset by huge power levels you start to see more of what the current trends look like.
When you look at cup cars of the era, the aero is very limited - flat bottom front splitters with no features (stakes, tunneling, brake cooling). The cars look very much like they were designed with gentlemen racers destroying body parts and keeping repair / replacement costs reasonable in mind.
I would like to push the envelope of parts developed for the 996 chassis a bit but that takes funds and development and the reality is - the market does not exist to support big aero for anything but a custom basis.
It may be different today, but a few years ago I asked RPM if they had tested the Ducktail for lift and downforce. They said they had not but would eventually. Haven't contacted them recently to see if they tested it. Any idea?
Joe did the dive planes I have on my car (meant for a boxster). Ive got to talk to him a bit and he is really cool.
His selection is kind of narrow depending on what youre working with or willing to tweak to fit.
Here is a popular item for front end aero. Alot of guys have used something similar to customize a splitter in the Chicago region. It's very common on 944's and air cooled 911's. My shop offered to fabricate one for my front end which would be very cool. May not be practical on the street.

However, I got a GT3 splitter from Demon to try out first. If I need more, then I will go to dive planes. Eventually, when the oil cooler is figured out, I will go with a GT3 RS front bumper for the air passageway thru the top of the bumper.
RPM Ducktail is the goal for the rear. Love the look and more importantly, i love the weight savings. But it may or may not be enough. Chunks testing of his GT3 wing versus RPM Ducktail will be very helpful.
Aero is a very expensive proposition for those of us who are not aeronautical engineers.
