Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I also saw where someone used a light dusting of Talc powder or baby powder on the seal but it doesn't last long.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

16 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Every time I roll my drivers side window down the outside rubber folds down with the window. You can hear the motor struggle to lower the window. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v134/robman/IMG_3425_zps90smuxbz.mp4

POST 3Original post

I'd like to know this as well, since my drivers side window recently started doing that. My passenger side used to do that until I replaced the regulator- doesn't do it any more...

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'll try rainX tomorrow. Thanks

POST 5Original post

It's funny, I tried rain-x before my passenger side regulator broke... It didn't really help. It also only did it when it was fairly hot outside 80-85 deg. and above

POST 6Original post

Well it is probably aging window seals and so on. I have suggested RainX and polish the window with old newspaper. Roll window down and get some dry silicone spray and coat the window seal inside where it meets with the window. Let it dry and then try it out.

POST 7Original post

Happening to me too. I tried some dry lubricant (not silicone based) and all it did was leave a yucky white coating all over. Might try the Rain-X thing next.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

No go with the rainX. The rubber looks and feels nice and pliable. What else can I try? Thanks

POST 9Original post

Unicorn semen. (Sorry, someone had to say it.)

DuPont Teflon Non-Stick Dry-Film Lubricant Liquid Wrench Dry Lubricant http://www.liquidwrench.com/products/#!/5 I also saw where someone used a light dusting of Talc powder or baby powder on the seal but it doesn't last long.

POST 11Original post

Well, the angle of attack of the glass against the seal is adjustable. There are 4 plugs under the bottom of the door. IIRC, the 2 inner most ones reveal a nut that fixes the regulator to the bottom of the door. The threaded stud from the regulator is in a slot in the door. If the stud is pushed to the far outside, the glass is tighter against the seal. Pull the stud more towards the inner side of the door and there is less pressure, so it will not bind against the rubber as much.

POST 12Original post

I have had fantastic luck with Gummi Pflege to help old rubber.

POST 15Original post

Everybody knows unicorns are girls. You shouldn’t make stuff up.

I always thought Unicorns were non- binary (thats right, the name is an oxymoron)...🧐
