Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

They made us all use our right hand when we learned cursive, so to this day I can write prettier with my right hand...just painfully slow
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

After 7 or 8 months of ownership, even though it's late in the season, I switched my key pocket to the left and phone in the right.
Where does everyone else put their keys?
On a side note, how many keys do people have?
I agree with Chiamac. When driving a 911 most efficient key placement is the left pocket. You never know when the urge to practice your Leman's style starts may hit you.
Single key in pouch (don't need it in the ignition) in the left pocket with wallet. Phone in the right but when in the car it is out and in the holster.
To be fair, for people like KK that refuse to ever drive their car this is actually a pretty important question.
Of course the real solution is to untwist their panties and actually drive the damn car...
Thinking of getting one of these with a Porsche logo on it so I can show it off and let everyone know that I do drive a P O R S C H E. Of course you'd have to wear it on the other side.

Don't bother. Those panties are sufficiently twisted to the point that untwisting is no longer possible...
I don't see what could possibly go wrong though I think, however, there is a company in Detroit that may have a thing or two to say on the subject...
I have a small mess of keys (3 car keys, a key fob, a house key, pocket knife), so I keep the Porsche key on a little clip so that I can detach it before it goes in the ignition. That way, the dangling key mess doesn't scratch up the key surround and dash.
Problem: Earlier this week, I left my key in my (right) pants pocket, and it went through the wash. Doh!
I currently have the key packed in dessicant. I'm hoping that it dries out, and a fresh battery will render it good as new. (and clean!)

Left side ignition, left pocket.
This got me thinking though: I think some eccentric folks (I wont' name names) would always leave it on the table so everyone would see that they drive a Porsche. Some examples:
*cough* JI, *cough* Miata and Boxster drivers....
Rubik, I keep my key's on my desk at work and typically dinner table if I'm out. I hate things in my pockets, I've been doing this since I was 16, the people that know me, know this. I guess I could seem preciousness for those that don't know me. But w/e
As far as where I keep it, when I'm not at a table, my pocket, doesn't matter which 1. I have my 911 key (or Cayenne when I dd that) a house key, my gf's apt key's and my office key's. If I didn't have to lock everything, I wouldn't keep any of the other keys.
I always put my key in my left pocket.
I always carry stuff with my left hand.
Then, I cannot reach my keys, have to switch hands, fetch my key, and go from there.
If I am carrying my keys in my right hand, I then have to switch to the left every time in the Porsche.
Why? Because apparently i am an idiot, and incapable of useful behavior modification.
er... I used to do this at Hooters when I first bought my 944 (I was only 21) ... It's the best way to meet every waitress in the restaurant ... I might have to try it with my 996 keys some day
Always kept my keys in left front pocket, phone in right, even before I had a Porsche. I'm left handed, always locked/unlocked things with my left hand. And I hold a phone in my right so I can write while talking on the phone, and because I type on the phone with my left hand. Keys might scratch the phone screen if I kept them in the same pocket, and also chance to lose keys without knowing it when pulling the phone out.
Whatever.
More on topic to this thread, moving the keys to my left pocket has been working although now it's starting to reverse how I do other things getting out of the car - which hand do I use to open the door, which hand do I hold things in, etc.
On a similar vein, how many of you get into one of your other cars, then start to stick the key into the AC vent on the left side before you realize which car you are in?
I always had the reverse problem until I got my Cayenne, now yes I do.
On a particularly slow starting and not to be proud of morning I looked at the light switch in the BMW for a minute or so trying to figure out why the key wouldn't go in...
