I couldn't find a good and consistent DIY on this, any one have any tips to help with adjusting screw depth on the top pins and aligning them prior to locking the whole pin mount on the top down?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have just swapped out by old style HT mounts for the new ones and now I need to do the final alignment/adjustment. I couldn't find a good and consistent DIY on this, any one have any tips to help with adjusting screw depth on the top pins and aligning them prior to locking the whole pin mount on the top down? Thanks

POST 2Original post

Hi GDI Here's a thread that talks all about this https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...a-997-a-2.html Just got a hardtop for my '04 cab as it was ordered as a "hardtop delete" option. Has been quite a process.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Water Hound, I see I need to be very careful lining and tightening things up. Hopefully the screw pins make the top a lot quieter.
