Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

A daytime running light ceased functioning on my '04 996 cab. Thought it would be a good idea to replace both bulbs at the same time. Went to Porsche and they wanted $30 per Osram H3 bulb which seemed exhorbitant. Stopped at the local auto parts store and they were $5 ea for the GE H3 bulb made in Hungary. A perfect fit and identical color to the one original bulb that was still working. Anybody have any good reason why I should have spent the extra $50 for the dealer's Osram?

Thanks. $5 Canadian is $3.82 US as of today. That's one reason all the Canadian cars are heading south after they're purchased.

It's called "overhead"...How do you think they pay for that beautiful building, a bunch of certified mechanics, product inventory, parts inventory, a few hot secretary's, and oh yeah... a BARISTA !!! and still make a profit...
