Hi, What kind of transmission fluid should I buy to my Tiptronic? 996.2 Production:01.2003 Engine 3.6 320HP Transmission code: A9610 Car from japan market. This is Mercedes transsmission. On the sump is the number: A 772 270 15 12.

The fluid should be "Shell ATF 134". Fluid can also be bought at Mercedes. Ask for fluid for a 2005 E55 AMG.

Thank you very much for the advice, it's really difficult to choose oil for this gearbox. I found two Shell ATF 134. One is: Shell Spirax S6 ATF 134ME for 7G-tronic Mercedes-Benz (NAG2FE+), MB-approval 236.15 and the other one is: Shell Spirax S6 ATF 134M "for 5 and 7 gear NAG2-V sport Mercedes Benz", MB-approval 236.14 and compatible with: MB236.1 and Mb236.10 I heard that many people use 7G oil to 5 gear transmission becouse its better. Which one fluid should i use? Should I buy anything else besides oil, gasket and filter?

Either of the two Shell fluids will work. The gearbox is called "5G tronic" or "NAG" by Mercedes. Pentosin ATF-6 is recommended when the Shell fluid is not available.
