Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I recently noticed that the rear spoiler on my car is quite noisy when either raising, or lowering. Its something thats not noticeable while driving. Is there any maintenance I can do to reduce or eliminate the noise? Ive tried some spray lube on pivot points with no discernible difference.

POST 2Original post

Manually open the spoiler and look closely at the struts that raise the spoiler. You will find some small holes. Spray silicone lube in those holes. Lower the spoiler and open a few times while spraying lube in the spoiler struts.

This worked perfectly. I never noticed those two lubrication points. Thank you!
