Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Dont be surprised if the clean title becomes branded again when you register it.
Branded is worth 60-80% of clean title.
Make sure you can insure it, as some insurance companies won’t.
Mine will, unless they’re the ones that originally totaled it.
I shy away from branded titled cars, they are much tougher to sell.
Some branded 996s that I considered buying the last couple of years:
A 17k mile 996 (flood) sold locally about a year or two ago. All carpet and the immobilized had been replaced. The car looked brand new. The price eventually dropped to $14K.
A 996 Turbo sold locally last year. Asking price got down to $22K.
Tree-fiddy and a ham samwhich without a full invasive ppi.
its a black c4s with a salvage vin and common option. Miles are average to high. The nicest part are the gt3 wheels. Im sure its no faster then any other c4s.
bottom line is u dont know who or what built the motor a long time ago.
if it checks out a good then maybe 25k, nice c4s are going for high 30s yo low 40s on bat.
Personally, I wouldn't touch a rebuilt or salvage titled vehicle because of the pains of registration and insurance.
And, too much trouble down the road with resell IMHO. Plus, you really need to get an invasive PPI if you really want this car.
I'll cut to the chase... have the bank2 cylinders scoped. Cam dev. & rough running reports done.
You can call South shore Auto Works (Kingston MA) and maybe ask for info. They are one of the south Shore's (Boston) few Porsche Indy's. I bring my car there. Justin the owner is a top notch guy that is heavy into the northeast PCA race scene. I know when ever I bring my car there, they give it a look over and tell me what could use fixing.
If I could get it registered, nsured, and the price was right, I would get a PPI done. Pay less and eventually sell for less. It's all about the price IMO.
