Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
You need to open up the lock actuator to check though.
Leading evidence: 'Check though' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check though' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I've also pulled out and cleaned the little green gasket in the connector, but no change with that either.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I've sprayed the contacts on the connector and the door lock mechanism with electrical contact cleaner and deoxit, but no improvement.
I'm a newbie 996 owner and I'm having the apparently fairly common problem of the alarm double chirping while driving. After reading many helpful posts here about solutions, I finally narrowed it down to the electrical connector going into my passenger door lock mechanism. It's very sensitive and if I jiggle it and/or the wires going into the connector, I can usually recreate the double chirp. But now I'm stuck as to what to do. The part number of the harness and the actual connector (VW/audi part #) don't show up anywhere when I google them. I've sprayed the contacts on the connector and the door lock mechanism with electrical contact cleaner and deoxit, but no improvement. I've also pulled out and cleaned the little green gasket in the connector, but no change with that either. Any suggestions on what I should do to solve this intermittent problem?
Thanks for the idea. That's the kind of tip I was looking for.
Here are two photos of both sides of the connector.
What kind of pin removal tool would I need for the female side of this connector? Thank you!
The proper terminal tools look like this one
http://www.ecstuning.com/ES11414/?gc...FcRafgod1DIAKQ
but you can try to fab something similar to
plain steel hair clips
. The idea is to insert the tool to push on the tabs on the female pin to release it from the housing. Usually there's also a lock (the purple plastic in your photo) that needs to slide side way first to unlock the pins.

At 3:02s you will see how he unlocks the purple plastic lock.
You pins look pretty good and tight so the problem could be on the wire crimp which we can't see until the pin is removed. The other possibility is the male pins. They extend to the circuit board inside the lock actuator and you may have a cold solder joint on one of them. You need to open up the lock actuator to check though. I have not done it on Porsche but usually there are only a few tabs and screws.
Alarm double chirping as you are driving??????????? Do you mean the HORN double sounding? The computer does not make a sound. If so, it could be something worn inside the steering column. I have seen postings regarding the horn sounding for no good reason but never heard of the computer chirping.
