Well, this way with the new bolts/nuts installed the correct way I'll be able to remove them easier when it comes time to do my coils/plugs

Finally got around to getting my exhaust modified! I had planned on removing the mufflers and bringing them to a shop, however, for the life of me I could not remove the two upright bolts holding the passenger side muffler in place
The driver side muffler came out in about 15 minutes because it had likely been removed at one point, and whoever reinstalled it had the common ****ing sense to install it with the nut on the top, allowing the 5" bolt to drop down when the nut is removed. Instead, I had to cut this one off on the passenger side:
I then spent nearly 2 hours trying to get the smaller of the two bolts out and couldn't. Of course I don't have a sawzall or torch either, so it was off to the Exhaust Pros!
It took them nearly an hour to get that stupid bolt out which raised my total price to $211 including reinstall.
IMPRESSION:
Very pleased with the sound!! There is a noticeable rumble at idle. 1st/2nd gear sounds fantastic between 1500-3000, there's a very nice rumble where I previously couldn't hear anything with my stock exhaust.
Any gear above 4k sounds 10x better than stock. It's not deafening, and best of all? NO DRONE at highway speeds! This is by far the best $200 I've spent on the car, I'm addicted to the noise and would highly recommend this mod to anyone considering an aftermarket exhaust.

They should have just removed the 3 nuts holding the muffler to its bracket. 15 min top.
Anyway, they look good, just like the Fister cans so I'm sure they sound great!

You should've just saved the grief and brought in your whole car to the muffler shop without your rear bumper and have them do it with the mufflers on the car.
Ha, yeah, I guess I was just eager to start tearing stuff apart.. I was initially wanting to save money on labor costs by removing them both, which would have allowed me to start my H&R spring install... However, that bolt threw me off my poorly thought out gameplan
Another thing that will make plugs and coils easier would be these two tool kits.

I am not sure I like the sound of this mod.
My wife's stock C4 is loud enough to hear in the house when she drives up with the windows closed. Just a deep base rumble. No offense just my un-requested opinion.
The Kobalt kit has some security bits that may come in handy when you remove the MAF.

The spark plug kit has the right length extension for our cars and the sockets are captured on the extension so you don't end up fishing for the plug & socket after an "oops, damn!"
+1, that does look handy...
No offense taken! I honestly couldn't hear my C2 unless I got above 5k, and even then it was almost more of a mechanical engine noise than a true exhaust rumble.. This is just loud enough that I can enjoy it at moderate speeds, REALLY enjoy it at higher speeds, and not **** off anyone else when driving sanely around town.
