Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Use those' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace thick white plastic piece' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Out of curiosity, did you replace the thick white plastic piece on the rear shocks (sandwiched between the coil and the top mount)?

And an old version of the PET from ~1999 shouldve shown 8 instead of 2 or 4 if the original style used two washers per eccentric bolt.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Im in the middle of disassembling my entire suspension and I removed four eccentric washers, two on each side. But when I look in the PET for the 996, it lists that there are only two total eccentric washers for the entire car. Is this just another PET error? Ive seen them a number of times before so I wouldnt be surprised. Interestingly enough, the PET properly lists a quantity of two for each style of eccentric bolt for a total of four for the car.
The part number in question is 996 331 219 00. Its #16 in the diagram.
It's got to be a mistake, there are definitely 4 of the washers on each car.
The boxster PET lists each location separately and shows 2 eccentric washers for each location.
All of the images that I see for the Bolt (item 15, 99633121702) indicate that is comes with one washer. edit, I see the description is "Eccentric bolt" which likely explains things. Also, I see it ends with an '02'. Generally that means a superseded part. I'm guessing they are now building the washer in to the bolt as an improvement. Hence, the difference from what we see on original set ups.
Yes. In other words:
Original set-up: one bolt, two washers, one nut
Current Porsche solution: one bolt with a built-in washer, one separate washer, one nut
at least that is what I'm guessing from the parts catalog and photos. A call to a Porsche dealer can confirm.
Right, but the PET is still incorrect. It should show a quantity of 4 instead of 2. And an old version of the PET from ~1999 shouldve shown 8 instead of 2 or 4 if the original style used two washers per eccentric bolt. 🤓
Yes, can confirm bolt+washer is integrated. But, interestingly, when I did the the alignment after installing the new suspension parts, the tech said -1.5 camber was the
minimum
he could get (!). I later changed that to a more reasonable spec., but beware!!
