I know it's a British link but our cars are set up to run fuel with ethanol.

Don't buy E15. You are most likely already buying gas that has 10% ethanol in it. Here's what Shell US told me when I asked:

The upcoming change is just to allow places that sell e15 in the winter to continue to sell it during the summer, so the implications should be pretty minor.

yesterday the President firmed a law that allows refineries to use ethanol at the current percent on the summer blend. Normally a winter blend is almost at the max currently 10 percent over here in Texas. Sometimes in summer the start of it Memorial Day they cut the blend to only 3 percent ethanol. Now with this law the gas maybe 15 cents per gallon cheaper, but you are going to loose fuel economy. It�s amazing that the government doesn�t realize the real issue, constraint refinery capacity, build a couple of refineries on federal land and vuola issue could be solved.
