My 99 C4 I purchased a few months ago has 148000 miles on the chassis . I have very few records from the previous owner so I decided I will change the transmission and front differential oil while I am waiting on my 3.8 build . I had narrowed my purchasing search down to Mobil Delvac or Motul 300 . Found a vendor on fleabay called " parts container " . Never purchased from them before but they have Motul 300 in packs of four 1 litre bottles for $69.49 with free shipping . They do charge sales tax . That was the best price I could find . Just thought I would share if anyone is looking to purchase . No affiliation with the seller . My order is supposed to be delivered on Monday .

parts container is the eBay store for Newparts in TN. I recently bought Motul 300v from them for about $15 a liter.

Make sure you get the correct Motul oil...they have one which is called Motylgear which is not suitable for our gearbox/diff. Also, Shell Spirax S5 ATE is what Porsche fills original they say.

^^^ Everything I have read say's Motul 300 gear oil is an excellent product for our transaxles and diffs in C4's .

I recently swapped to Motul 300 in my 996 and I couldn't be happier with it. It's very smooth and it made it much easier to shift gears when it's cold and the transmission hasn't warmed up yet.

I ordered on the 13th and UPS just delivered . Not bad 😁 . Package was intact and no leaks . Bottles inside exactly as advertised . I will order again from them in the future .
