Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

In fact I bought my boys a couple model cars (I think one was a Ferrari, and 1 a Lambo) years ago, and they never built them - found them in a closet last weekend when I was cleaning some stuff out...

Make sure to get tiny dustless brake pads or you'll be cleaning those wheels very often.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

One of my many 996s: The sad part is only one is 1:1 scale. I really want a GT3, but will likely never own one so I built this one. It was for an online build at home while distancing contest. It turned out descent, so thought Id share.
1/25th scale GT3
Looks nice! Well done.
Is that the Tamiya kit? I’ve got one sitting on the shelf still in box. Right next to the Tamiya 1:10 r/c 996 that I built a while back.
Yes it is the Tamiya kit. Lots of primer, color wet sanding etc...
The only bad thing about the kit was the rear window fitment. The center cap decals, cluster decals, and GT3 on the parking brake.... were all hard to install.
I haven't started on mine as I don't really have any of the right equipment or paints for those kits. I guess it would be a good excuse to get an air brush and learn how to use it...
The R/C kit is pretty nice if you can find one:

I've started on mine after a delay waiting for cement that I forgot to order with the model.
Did the rear suspension and exhaust and just starting on front suspension.
I've found that 1:24 scale is not ideal for my fat fingers. I also had forgotten about contact high from the fumes.

I actually put the front end on and side skirts first. I then did lots of primer and sanding. Then after the first coat of color, I did the rear spoiler which was harder than it shouldve been. Then I did lots of color coats and wet sanding. Then I did decals and them two coats of clear. I wouldve done more, but too much time invested already.
But yers is speed yeller, so you don't gotta paint it!
Mine is seal gray, so I gotta paint mine.
The gray I chose is too dark.
I might repaint it lighter, or just live with the dark gray.
I did some sanding earlier.
Man y'all are bad influences!
I mostly build flying models and railroad models. This was the first car Ive done in a long time. Id like to do a few P race cars from my youth and a replica of race cars I knew as a kid from up close in person.
Holy Crap! You are good! That looks real and, I agree, the last shot is money. Last plastic model I tried to build with a then 14 year old kid who is now 48! Don't think we ever finished the car. It was not near as detailed as these. I've lugged around a metal sprint car kit for @ 25 years I keep promising to build up every winter in the manner of my previous real one...SIGH
I know a guy locally that builds contest winning models. He is really good. I just try not to be bad. I need to out this attention to details into my 996 and 986 and 944.

A lot of people liked this shot too. It was close but not quite right. Glare was killing my photo skills so the alignment is a bit off.
The paint work is never as nice as youd like it to be. At some point you just stop fussing with it. If I try to fix anything at this point, its very likely Id make something worse. Id have to be more skillful to make it better than this.
Prime, sand times 3, color sand x3, clear sand and final clear. Thin coats and I went from 400 to 1500 grit. If I had more time and energy I couldve gone to 2000 grit. I used Tamiya rattle can paints. I need to get an airbrush so I can do better.
1st coat of primer
1st color coat
1st coat of clear
I always enjoyed making "custom cars" out of the leftover/spare parts (and a borrowed chassis or two) from the kit cars! I used to come up with some crazy stuff. Unfortunately I never took any photo's
Oh well, it was fun - spent many hours honing my skillz... Built quite a few airplanes as well (mostly military/fighter planes)... I haven't built a model in MANY many years... In fact I bought my boys a couple model cars (I think one was a Ferrari, and 1 a Lambo) years ago, and they never built them - found them in a closet last weekend when I was cleaning some stuff out...
