Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Also I live in Japan and parts are hard to come by and was wondering if there was a substitute fuel pump relay that could be used from another brand or if it has to be the Porsche one?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Good day all, I have a 1999 C4 996.1 and the car won't start after suddenly cutting off. I have narrowed it down to the Fuel Pump Relay using all the great information on this forum. I was wondering if it is possible to swap out the fuel pump relay with another of the relays under the car or is a jumper still the better option? Also I live in Japan and parts are hard to come by and was wondering if there was a substitute fuel pump relay that could be used from another brand or if it has to be the Porsche one? Thank you for any help. Brad
