Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Single row / double row / ceramic ball bearings doesn't interest me as they will need to be replaced (again) eventually.
Leading evidence: 'Replace (again) eventually' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Recommend ohara autmotive..photos and other things in my build thread' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

This set up is reminiscent of the designs used by Porsche in previous Metzger engines.

It uses a standard screw on oil filter as compared to the current cartridge / filter.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Im wanting to get the IMS solution installed along with other items such as clutch, RMS, Flywheel (if needed), water pump, UAOS. So far Im looking at Top Automotive in NC and OHara Automotive in AR as they are the closest certified installers. Both are equal distance from which is about 6 hours away from the Nashville, TN area where I live. So my question is has anyone had experience with either and can recommend them?
thanks in advance.
Kraftwerks in Columbus, OH... Jeff Brubaker is a Certified Installer. Of course he's booked out over 2 months. Also, I've heard the LN IMSB Solution is back-ordered. Hopefully you already have one in your hands. How do I know? I just scheduled replacement today.
I'm referring to the LN Engineering "Solution" which is a solid metal, oil fed, bearing. It requires some metal work to provide access for the oil line that feeds fresh oil from an adapter (off a corvette I think). It uses a standard screw on oil filter as compared to the current cartridge / filter. This set up is reminiscent of the designs used by Porsche in previous Metzger engines. It will never fail... hence, the name "Solution". Single row / double row / ceramic ball bearings doesn't interest me as they will need to be replaced (again) eventually. The worst that can happen to the solid bearing is it will lose a tiny bit of material to wear, but it will never grenade and destroy your engine. At least that's my understanding of all the materials I've read.
You cant go wrong if theyre a certified installer.
I just had the IMS Solution, RMS, AOS, clutch, flywheel, etc. done last month at the only certified installer in Pennsylvania.
Really great people to work with and without a doubt the best shop Ive ever dealt with.
Probably wouldnt have found them without the certified program.
It was really great how they kept me up to date throughout the pre-certification and installation process.
You should call soon, since my certified installer had a 3+ month backlog.
Correct, there are three IMS Solutions versions available.
Dual row, and early and late single row.
The dual row IMS Solution was still available a few days ago, so if you have an early car you still might be in luck.
If your IMSB is a single row, the IMS Solution for your car is out of stock.

IMS Solution Late Single Row:

All Certified Installers follow the same regimen, and have had the same training/ evaluations.
You can't go wrong either way.
Make sure the installer has the parts in hand before you schedule the work. Solution sales have been at peak since Covid began, and more units have been sold in the last year than the prior two years combined.
I just had the dual one installed it was not back ordered. My original dual row had no play. But as my Indy put it, they all have no play until they do. I am glad I had that and the UAOS done.
Mine has a build date of Jan 2000. Im hoping it has the dual row bearing. Blackstone oil analysis came back with zero issues so it should be good to go till my Mech can get to the car and get the parts in. 👍👍
Jake, any idea when the IMS solution will be back in stock as both said it is still on back order. I know its been a few months on back order and I dont really want the retrofit but I might have to if I have to wait much longer.
this also might be a Charles LNE question as Im not sure
Thanks for your thoughts but this wasn't about what was needed to be done as I knew that already .. it was if anyone had experience with either of the certified installers... needless to say I've already had a it done and highly recommend Ohara Autmotive..photos and other things in my build thread.. link in signature below
