Well, I feel better about myself after hearing that all of you guys learned the value of supporting the deck lid before disconnecting the strut!!!

Going to have to replace the front trunk struts (hood slowly comes down). Have done this before on other cars and it�s not big deal, but before I go down this road, anything weird about doing this? My first Porsche (2004 Carrera Cabriolet C4S). Thanks

Got mine from rock auto. 1 minute job to replace. Good advice to use your head to hold up the frunk. Ask me how I know.

Cut an x in a tennis ball and place it over the end of a pushbroom or a plain broom stick. Props up the hood, a hatch or the clutch when you mess with the helper spring, etc.
