But the Porsche part numbers are the same as for example are included in that US kit set (Porsche tool IDs 9611, 9595, 9612, 9634 etc).

Well - turns out that now as I received that package it is not that but instead it is that "BGS 8836" which is of course not the same as that I was looking for and also that 500+€ is too much since that BGS set costs elsewhere in EU around 300+€.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anyone using BGS 8836 as a cam timing and a piston pin kit? The reason why I'm asking is that I feel like a bit cheated here but if that tool works then I guess I have to just suck it up. Background - I was looking for that cam timing tool kit and found out that in the US that kit costs 750+USD and if you add shipping + VAT that becomes like a 1000USD+ package which is in my opinion too much. Found out that Mecatechnic in France is selling similar package for about 550€ which I thought is acceptable. Based on the pictures it's giving an impression that it's "official" Baum type of kit with red ***** etc. See here -> https://www.mecatechnic.com/en-GB/ca...String=UO10043 Well - turns out that now as I received that package it is not that but instead it is that "BGS 8836" which is of course not the same as that I was looking for and also that 500+€ is too much since that BGS set costs elsewhere in EU around 300+€. This looks as it's a good quality although the package is different that any of those that can be found from the net. Maybe it's a new revision of the set. Another thing is that the box and the site says that this is compatible with 996 3.4 as of 2002. Well, mine is '99 But the Porsche part numbers are the same as for example are included in that US kit set (Porsche tool IDs 9611, 9595, 9612, 9634 etc). I'm just wondering what to do here - send it back if it is not accurate/compatible or be happy with the tool. Another problem is that I wont receive my new lift until maybe Christmas / next year due to delays in components so I can't test this now.
