Now I know the variocam works because the sound changes around 3200 rpm and my car pulls harder when on the gas as well around 5500 you feel it kick in again.

Can someone walk me through checking deviation with the duramatric 6. I was just out in my car connected etc as I was getting rpm display on the value logging. Clicked on cam deviation 1 and 2. Watching them at idle position 1 is like 1.6* and position 2 is like 3.66*. However if I rev the engine these numbers do not change. Now I know the variocam works because the sound changes around 3200 rpm and my car pulls harder when on the gas as well around 5500 you feel it kick in again. So how are you guys checking it?

What you did is correct and you want the numbers to be rock solid throughout the range. Note Porsche allows up to +/- 6 degrees. Usually they are much less than that on a healthy car. Your numbers look good. Note everytime you run the engine, the numbers may change a little but as lng as they are rock solid and within spec, they are good.
