Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

The clutch was replaced about 30 thousand miles ago and the IMS was replaced at the same time.
Leading evidence: 'Replace clutch' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). I use these GT3 wheels, clad in Pilot Sports, in summer and the original wheels -not pictured- with the factory recommended Pirelli snow tires during winter months.

I thought you believed all these cars have to be rebuilt every 10K miles and you insisted that no one dare use these as daily drivers.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Back in 2003, for the first time ever, I had some discretionary income. "Why don't you visit a Porsche dealership?" a 911 driving friend asked me. I did and when I saw (what was going to be) my car in the showroom it was love at first sight. A deal was struck shortly thereafter.
Since the 997 was just around the corner and since the dealer still had some lingering inventory, I had some leverage to come to what I felt was a good deal. I later realized that the deal was -in fact- totally, utterly, unbelievably, exceptionally wonderful. I have never bought any good or service with which I am as pleased as I am with this car.
Fast forward 12 years and, last Sunday morning, the odometer indicated 100,000 miles. Most of these miles were hard miles, lots of stop-and-go traffic, 12 Chicago winters. The car never complains and always gets me home. I plan to keep this car for forever.
Congrats. Similar story (but her desire of her dream car rather than a friend sending us there) for ours which is now 15 with 70k. Hers was a custom build though and getting the slot was an ordeal in and of itself (we started the process in 98 when the 996 was released, but we didn't get a slot until 00 (MY01)).
I'm sure KK will be in shortly to explain how you are lying as the car should have blown up at least 100k times by now
Just to clarify, you are the original owner and managed to put on 100k trouble free miles? If that's the case, you definitely got your money's worth.
Now peeps are gonna wanna know if you're on your original IMS and what kind of oil you used for those 100k miles. Peeps are also gonna wanna know if all that stop and go traffic yielded temps just to the right of the "0" without and detrimental effects for the whole 100k. LOL
I am indeed the original owner and, yes, I would indeed describe these miles as "trouble free". The clutch was replaced about 30 thousand miles ago and the IMS was replaced at the same time. I am a big believer in preventative maintenance so I never cut any corners there. Mobil 1 all the way. The temperature is rock-solid; always just to the left of the '180' script. Please tell the Peeps.
why are you celebrating this 'bruh'.
I thought you believed all these cars have to be rebuilt every 10K miles and you insisted that no one dare use these as daily drivers.
Assuming that his actions are rational would be a mistake. Once you accept that he's (a) irrational, and (b) a troll, the inconsistencies make more sense.
Back when the car was new, I got a second set of wheels. I went with a set of (Porsche) GT3 wheels because I like the way they look and because they are lighter than the wheels that originally came with the car. I use these GT3 wheels, clad in Pilot Sports, in summer and the original wheels -not pictured- with the factory recommended Pirelli snow tires during winter months. Winter tires are an absolute must when driving during a Chicago winter (or any winter or even in low temperatures for that matter).
I know all the potholes along my regular route(s), this is a good thing as some are easily substantial enough to destroy a wheel or two. I also take Lower Wacker whenever possible. The whole thing was redone in the last few years and the tarmac is not that bad -for now-.
So to answer the question; no, these are not the original wheels but I did get them in the same transaction that got me the car. I still use the original wheels in winter.
