Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

Suggestion
If I wanna go dark, I'll use the new VHT nightshade but if I want the OEM style subtle Euro tint, I'll use Metalcast which goes on much lighter with each pass allowing you a wider tinting range possiblities.
Leading evidence: 'Use metalcast' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use metalcast' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Did a couple coats of VHT night shades on my C4s tail lights and center bar. I masked off the upper clear sections and applied 2 coats to the red sections. Still need to do the 3rd brake light.
Thoughts?
Although VHT Nightshades has improved with the reformulated version, I still think it's a bit on the dark side personally for each spray pass. With this, you're not really able to emulate the factory tint that you see come from certain manufacturers like Jaguar and such IMO.
I've used both the old and new version. If I wanna go dark, I'll use the new VHT nightshade but if I want the OEM style subtle Euro tint, I'll use Metalcast which goes on much lighter with each pass allowing you a wider tinting range possiblities. Their clear coat is awesome as well and holds up very well and applies very well too. Ignore the fact that it goes one chrome and such. Many use Metalcast on lenses.
Cool I was unaware of this product. I had a boo boo on one of my lights when I did it but a little brake fluid cuts the night shade right off with a bit of rubbing.
What works good for boo boo 's is non-acetone nail polish remover. Or if you are going to recoat it anyways, Carb cleaner or acetone based nail polish remover and cotton ***** as this will eat into some plastics and leave it a little hazy if you don't plan on recoating it. Just make sure you spray carb cleaner onto a paper towel first, lol.
It actually acts like a window tint so they really are not hindered in performance. If anything they are less reflective IE when light is shining on them.
I think that is a yes but might as well since with the dark tint, he's also not conforming technically to DOT regulations(must have some red reflector showing in the rear).
FWIW, I tinted my 3rd brake light but I also have the upgraded LED version and visibility is just fine. Actually thinking of tinting it darker since I wanna upgrade to a 997 soon...
