Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My 2002 Targa won't start and I suspect the fuel pump. My Durametric diagnostic tool turns on the relay, but I don't hear the fuel pump running. I removed the relay and installed a jumper wire. Still no noise. I removed the battery and used jumper wires to apply 12v connected directly to the pump terminals, no noise. Disconnected hoses and applied power, no fuel, no noise. Ohmed out the pump before applying 12v - no continuity. Seems pretty straight forward, the pump isn't working. Tomorrow I'm removing the pump for a further check. I want to make sure the internal connections are good before springing for a new pump. Any suggestions, am I missing something?
