So: I made a wire harness that is essentially a timed Bosch relay in line. IE 12V in --> Relay waits 3 seconds --> 12V out. On the test bench, it works like a charm. My test bench is an old computer power supply. I apply 12V to the input, three seconds pass, multimeter reads 12V out. I put it in the car. Nothing. No output. I have checked the input side of the car. It is good. But 3 second later, no output. Any ideas?

Volts and amps. It takes a lot of amps to trigger the inside part of the relay. Just guessing...

That's a great idea. If it isn't I will add a grounding pigtail to the harness.
