Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I see a lot of new owners posting and figured I would post my new to me 02 996 C2. I sold my 84 Targa a couple months ago and was looking for quite a while for a clean 996.2 C2 and finally found it. 70 year old prior owner kept it in pristine condition at only 36k for the first 12 years of its life. IMS LN Pro, new clutch, RMS and AOS were all replaced. Can't wait to rack up the miles. I completely flipped my cars around to get to drive my 911 as my daily. Sold my 84 Targa and my 2012 Wrangler to get my 02 996 and an 04 Wrangler as my winter driver.
Picture at my local cars and coffee this morning:

I would've expected bigger smiles from your sons. That means you were probably driving too slow.
j/k
Welcome and hope you have a great experience racking up the miles and creating new memories with your sons.
They had huge smiles on the ride over. Was 90 and humid this morning, tough day for standing outside.
They beg to take the Porsche everywhere we go and egg me on to drive faster. My 9 year old thinks he is getting the 996 in 7 years.
Nice! My 911 shares the garage with a 2011 two door Rubicon. Congrats on the new ride. That's a nice looking car with all the appropriate boxes checked.
That's funny...my 5 yr calls the 996 her car and the 951 S is my 9 yr old sons! We named him Jake in part because of the movie sixteen candles and of course Jake was driving a red 944...neither of them claimed either of my Boxsters...lol
Congratulations and welcome
How do the boys like the new car? I also have a Jeep in the garage, but just a whimpy YJ. Enjoy and keep us updated with modifications
Thanks for the welcomes and replies. My boys love the car. They want to go everywhere with me now and want to take the porsche everywhere we go. A YJ is a very capable Jeep. Do you take it on trails?
