Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

There is a 04 996 GT3 listed for sale that has a factory 10 mm seat lowering. How was this done and can I do this to my 997.1 adaptive sport seats. I need a little room when wearing a helmet. I also put this in the 997 forum.

POST 2Original post

I have this option....seats at max lowered is a little lower(I assume it's 10mm) than non lowered seats. I think it's the seat brackets that make the difference

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Is it the rear pivot point? I was looking at mine brackets tonight and it looks like there may be room at the rear pivot point to drill a lower hole. This may work but with all the stuff that is placed there they may not clear. I may pull my seat to check this out. It couldn't be as easy as my 74 Datsun 240Z I owned in the 70's. It had 2 thick plastic washers, both came to around 1/2" or so. I guess I can't get that lucky again. Does any body have some pictures of the bracket and zoom into the pivot point. POST 4Original post

Does it have manual slider on us spec seats? I'm thinking manual Boxster sliders...
