Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi,
Just bought an 2001 C2 cab.
Pretty happy so far but i need to fix a few issues.
i am missing the top motor cap and i don't know where i can find it. Same as i am missing the handle cover for the rear seats.
I need a few advise from you guy as i want to change to clear side marker
I find the finish on the wheel pretty strange and don'T really like them, does lobster clamp will fit?
Thank you for your advise
Here is what my garage look like
Welcome! Nice looking car.
I'm sure some other members can help with sourcing parts, but I haven't had to find any yet.
Have you considered painting, powder coating, or plasti-dipping the wheels to get a different finish?
It depends on what you consider valuable. Personally, I thought the best mod on my 996 was the addition of Fister sport mufflers.
I believe that the gains you get from an air filter are minimal at best. This topic is the subject of multiple debates and will be forever. An ECU flash can improve your performance, but the cost/benefit ratio isn't tremendous. You'll spend lots of cash for the flash and the improvement will be slightly improved throttle response, perhaps more torque at the low end of the power band, and not much else.
Clear side markers are cheap & easy to do. About as hard as changing the light bulbs. See ECS Tuning to buy them. LED interior, frunk and engine bay lights are another cheap and easy mod that is good bang for the buck.
+1 on the plasti dip for your wheels. The twists look good on a silver car in graphite gray. You can do it yourself for just a few bucks and it is reversible if you don't like it
The best upgrades would be specific to your use/driving style. I listed some examples below based on what you want out of the car:
Do you want to have more fun in the twisties? Consider suspension (and maybe brake) mods.
More power? Consider DME flash, Plenum Upgrade, etc.
More distinct appearance? Consider clear side markers, bulbs, wheels, possibly lower the car, interior mods, etc.
Sportier driving experience? Consider short shift kit
More distinct sound (maybe modest performance increase)? Consider upgraded exhaust
As far as "most valuable", I would have to ask do you mean best bang for the buck, or do you mean actually increase the value of the car?
Mods in general don't do much to increase resale value. They may help you sell it quicker. They may be a tie breaker if the buyer is considering another car. You will NEVER get your money back out of mods. You would actually get closer to getting your money back out of mods by removing them and reselling them.
