Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Mbren1979 - hoping you got this sorted out now, but is there a possibility that your USB connection is disconnecting and reconnecting while you're using the phone?

Of important note, did you also change the config file with the new picture name and upload it on a usb?

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I just purchased a DMX7705S. Trying to make some kinda of porsche logo for the start up screen. Tried a few. All worked but the screen initially is all messed up then it goes good for a second. I believe its because the .bmp file has to be 800x480 and 16 bit. Everything i find is 24 bit. Not sure if that is the issue, I cannot for the life of me find a .bmp in 800x480 in 16 bit. I tried different programs to make it the right 16 bit but this is not my area of expertise. Any help out there??
I've had a lot of trouble getting mine correct. I assume you're talking about the actual startup screen and not the background? Despite following the instructions and making it 16bit, the color is all weird and green when mine starts up.
Mbren - I sent you the two images saved in the correct 16-bit bmp format.
Of important note, did you also change the config file with the new picture name and upload it on a usb? If not, that's also a major problem.
Here's a link to a how-to video and web site:

Let me know if you still need help.
You sir are the man. I had found that video yesterday. Thats how i went to try the process. Thats ehat got me the green screen. Now with the properly formatted image it works like a charm!
Now i just have to figure out this highly aggravating android auto. I like the functionality of it. But the stupid thing keeps opening and closing on my galaxy S8. Literally its like a loop. If i attempt to use my phone around or in the car i can't. no matter what i do it will interrupt me and open the program. I took me 10 minutes to send that picture because the stupid app kept closing the camera and opening android auto. How the hell can you use your phone with it connected?
Thanks to all - had the same problem with 24-bit BMPs and reduced to 16 (I used GIMP - even PhotoShop doesn't give me the option of 16-bit!). I'm guessing that they load the image straight into memory before their 24-bit BMP parser gets booted but it's a bit weird.
Mbren1979 - hoping you got this sorted out now, but is there a possibility that your USB connection is disconnecting and reconnecting while you're using the phone? Mine did something similar until I cleared out the USB C port.
Not sure. Im not too tech savy. Just changed up to a new samsung s20 phone. Was hoping it would fix most of my issues. Still have issues with no notification of any types of messages. When the phone is connected and someone texts me ths radio never notifies me and it even silences ths phone. I guess android auto just sucks
@Mbren1979
I also have a Kenwood receiver in my car. I have an issue with my head unit and wonder if you have the same issue. When people call me, they get an echo of their own voice. I have played with the Mic settings and they don't change anything. Do you have this issue? I used a MOST adaptor to connect my head unit to the factory amps and am using an Android phone. This has happened with 2 different Android phones.
-Thanks
