Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Put it all back together and sure enough it adjusted the beam down most of the way--and then tightened up again.
Leading evidence: 'Adjust beam down most of the way--and' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Adjust beam down most of the way--and' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I've recently replaced headlamp bulbs, first the high beam bulb then the low beam a few weeks later.

Suggestion
iirc the leveling motor moves the entire adjustment mechanism, so you may be able to use like a washer or something to adjust the motor's position and therefore the overall alignment.

On the left side it was a simple matter of using a 5mm hex tool via the port in the frunk to readjust.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I've recently replaced headlamp bulbs, first the high beam bulb then the low beam a few weeks later. In wrestling in a LED high beam bulb, the vertical adjustment was knocked out of alignment. On the left side it was a simple matter of using a 5mm hex tool via the port in the frunk to readjust. But with the right side, when I went to readjust the lamp the beam didn't move. Upon removing the assembly and taking off the back, I could see the main gear (white ring gear) wasn't moving when I turned the adjuster. It's very difficult to see but the pinion gear is not engaging the ring gear, it's either stripped or out of position--stripped I think. I got it to engage a few times and move the ring gear a small amount but then it quit doing that as I continued turning the adjuster. I removed the self leveling motor to see if that gave better access to the adjustment gears--it didn't really. I can't find the manual adjuster assembly or gears available as a separate part/s.
Short of purchasing a new/used headlamp assembly. Any ideas? I'd be happy to somehow make the adjustment manually and leave it for the time being.
Thanks...

Thanks dsbl. I remembered watching the Retrofit Lab and thought they had removed the adjustment module. I watched that part of their video and sure enough, it comes out. What I discovered was the adjustment ring gear was too tight to move. I turned it manually with a needle nose plier and loosened it up enough that I could adjust it with pinion gear by hand. Put it all back together and sure enough it adjusted the beam down most of the way--and then tightened up again. Blast it! I don't have the fortitude to go through that again today, so I'll take it apart tomorrow and look more carefully at possibly applying some lubricant (it's turning in simple plastic 'bearings'). I'll report then.
