Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi folks !!! So I have a 2002 996 Carrera 4 that has a fuel pressure problem and I have run out of ideas. The car has a new fuel pump and a new fuel pressure regulator (the level sending unit and pressure regulator come as an assembly). The car starts and while the engine is running, the pressure reads between 25 and 27 psi, very low. However, the engine idles fine for a while and then the idle becomes rough and the pressure drops to about 18 psi. My next thought is the fuel module, but I don't want to go that route blindfolded. Has anyone encountered these symptoms and found a solution? Suggestions? Thanks in advance ...
