Hi Guys,
Proud new owner of 996 and am wanting to update tailights with LED to bring it up to speed.
I am sure many of you have dabbled with LED tailights and would love to hear your thoughts on the Spyder LED and Dectanes..
I will only be happy if they are OEM quality and placement .. Any other LEDs will be considered .. Thanks guys!!
Also where is best place to order from. Located in Okanagan Valley of beautiful British Columbia.
I have a black 00 996 and added the Spyder Smoked LED lights and absolutely LOVE them! They really modernize the car. I liked them so much that I ordered the LED 3rd light off of Ebay. One note, if you add just the tail lights they work well, but if you convert the 3rd brake to LED as well you have to add a resister (also on Ebay) to the circuit to not confuse the car's electronics. If you don't add the resister, you will get both PSM and ABS lights on the dash. The car's computer sees the reduced power to the lights and thinks something is wrong.

They are in Montreal so no cross-border fee issue. My work colleague just did this mod from them on his 02 C2 Cab and he is very happy with it. He also got the interior LED light package and he's also very happy with that as well. I intend to do it this fall on my 00 C2 as the Great White North slowly slides into winter darkness.

Hi Guys !! I actually prefer the spyders over the dectanes as I see more pics of them and do more analyzing..
The lines on the dectanes just dont flow as nicely and the leds are not in the right spot.. I am sure they are probably closer to a oem style light but may try the spyders..
