I'm guessing I need to run wires from the clocks, climate control module etc but really need to have a clear idea of what I'm doing before I start messing around back there, as it could get very expensive very quickly!

Hello everyone, I hope I can find someone to help: my 2002 996 has had the CDR 22 replaced with a PCM 1 sometime in it's past. TBH I thought the PCM1 was from factory and only discovered it wasn't after I had to take it out to extricate a bluetooth kit - and found lots of wires nicely labelled but not connected to anything. This explained why some of the functionality never worked eg climate control display, trip computer etc. I am keen to try and get it 100% working. I have trawled the net looking for an installing guide - but all I can find are uninstalling/replacement guides/advice. I know the PCM1 is fairly dated (to say the least) but it does enough for me and if it's there I want it working as it should. I'm guessing I need to run wires from the clocks, climate control module etc but really need to have a clear idea of what I'm doing before I start messing around back there, as it could get very expensive very quickly! Can anyone point me in the right direction? Many thanks

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I found a link to a guide online but even that's out of date and no longer there. Is everything to do with the PCM1 out of date??!
