Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

A lot of us appear to do some pretty good trips in our 996's so the question is how do you pack them for a long trip or in light of other thread themes.... "Where & how do you put your luggage for two" Any pictures of well loaded 996's for a long trip or euro vacation A suitcase seems wrong some how, but she who must be obeyed is going to want to put her glad rags somewhere.. O_Sr..

POST 2Original post

Easy, when the tractor-trailer arrives, load your 996, bike and all the suitcases you want, they will be delivered to the address you want in any state. At the airport you can bring more suitcases, usually 2 per person and a carry on. Problem solved, now if you want to ask where should you put your cell phone, sun glasses, gun, wallet, girlfriends, etc, we have other threats. Sent from my iPhone using Rennlist

POST 3Original post

Unless you have a roof rack, or toe hitch with small trailer, you only have two places left to load luggage. The frunk and the back seats. Soft luggage I would think is the way to go.

POST 4Original post

I get my wife to pack her equipment in a carry on type suitcase, then pack everything else in soft bags carefully arranged around the hard bag in frunk. Excess foes in back seat. Mine is also a Cab, so anything in the backseat area must be stable as to not blow away. Sorry no pics though.

POST 6Original post

I can easily pack one soft sided bag for a weekend trip with the wife. The 53' semi and trailer follow behind us with her shoes and makeup. A weekend trip is like Celine Dion on tour. But, if I am track bound, 10x10 canopy, two camp chairs, helmet bag, small suitcase, cooler, snacks and my Glock 30SF all fit fine. And that's with a roll bar.

POST 7Original post

This is going to turn into a where do you put you luggage thread

POST 8Original post

My wife and I just finished a 1200 mile camping trip to and from Rennsport Reunion V. The frunk is ideal for all the soft goods like sleeping bags, tent bag, inflatable mattress. Pillows, dirty laundry bag, etc. fit perfectly behind the front seats and in the rear seats with the backs dropped. The back shelf carries two full size backpack chairs and any luggage on top for easy access without stopping. No pictures of the interior, but I promise almost every square inch was utilized. Big Sur camping on the way to Rennsport Reunion V.

POST 9Original post

I have 2 of these in espresso (20" x 11.5" x 10.5"). I fill them up and place them side by side standing up in the frunk. Perfect fit. As a matter of fact, this is how I traveled to Las Vegas this weekend. Then use the back seats for other things.

POST 10Original post

I have a Samsonite 25" roller bag, it's the perfect Frunk size. Its about as big as you can fit in the frunk. There is still room for other stuff in the frunk and of course either the back seat in the Targa or the trunk in the Boxster. Plenty or room in both for a multi day trip

POST 12Original post

From our trip over the weekend, 600 miles and just one overnight so nothing major, we fit most everything in the trunk. If it were a true "camping" trip then a tent and stuff can go in the back seats. Also if it were really a true camping trip or long term trip I'd take the spare out. That's what roadside is for, and if we're that far in the middle of no-where it's not like a spare will be that much help anyway - over a patch kit or a tow. After one night of trying to "help" setup my girlfriends tent just before a rainstorm our relationship is better spent in hotels or cabins. =)
