Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

However, when I was replacing the head unit for the last time (after installing the backup camera) up pops one extra cable that's in the cable harness on the right side of the audio system.
Leading evidence: 'Replace head unit' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). I spent several days replacing the stock audio system with a double DIN Pioneer system from Crutchfield.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

OK - so the title is a little odd.
I spent several days replacing the stock audio system with a double DIN Pioneer system from Crutchfield. I finished it up and immediately had to take off on a road trip to Kentucky and back to Houston in 5 days. Gave me lots of time to check out the new installation and I'm quite pleased with it.
However, when I was replacing the head unit for the last time (after installing the backup camera) up pops one extra cable that's in the cable harness on the right side of the audio system. I've poked and looked but can't find out where it's supposed to attach. The plug is a 90 degree plug, single connection but it has TWO brown and green wires coming to it. It wasn't until I was on the road at the start of my trip that I realized I didn't have cruise control any more! 1,200 miles without cruise control gets downright painful.
To be sure ... I think the referenced plug is related to the cruise control solely because that's the only thing I can find that isn't behaving as it should. If pictures are necessary, I can take things aparft ... again ... and post them.
UPDATE -
Still no cruise control and, now that the Houston deep freeze and flooding is over with, I find my A/C isn't working. I'd appreciate any insight that anyone can offer regarding the wire & plug that I think may be a culprit.
Since I previously removed the stock radio and CD player, I thought the plug/circuit in question might have been connected to the CD player & I didn't notice it. However, I took a look and there wasn't any obvious point where it could be attached.
As you can see, both wires leading to plug are
Brown
/
Blue
which would suggest it's a ground (
Brown
) circuit for ??. I read through the Pelican site and came across this: "
The Carrera alarm system has a small contact switch located to the left side of the radio compartment that detects removal of the radio. In order to prevent the alarm from repeatedly going off, you need to connect this wire (brown/blue) to ground.
" While I'm not having any issues (yet) with my alarm system, I'm also not using it.
Think it adviseable to just add a wire from the radio (chassis) ground with a spade lug and plug it into the receptor in question?
Can't see where it would help my two problems but it may eliminate one potential issue.
