Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Sometimes I'll get stuck away from the only 94 pump I know and have to use 91, but I'll only put in what I need to get back to the 94 pump.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

When I began daily driving my 03 4s 6MT in early September 2020 I decided to start logging every gas fill up. Finally put the numbers into a spreadsheet and here's what they say:
5.5 Months (9/6/20 - today)
10,124 mile driven (current odometer 51,339)
38 fill ups (most in one fill up 14.74 gal, today when I was down to 15 miles until empty)
470.024 gal (all Shell 93 V Power)
21.77336 mpg all in
I always start up, drive off immediately, stay <3k rpm until fully up to temp, and then drive it like I stole it almost all the time thereafter. Ticket free, code free, care free for 30,000 miles in under 2 years of ownership.
Sorry, but is fuel mileage important on a 911?
better stat. Owned Subaru Outback then Forester for 15 years. Then bought a jk Wrangler. Way heavier car, cuts the wind like a brick, much larger motor. Fuel consumption up only 15% as compared to the Subaru’s.
Reasonable question. It is one of the data points that indicate the overall health of an engine so in that sense it is. It is also a data point for how often one must stop driving. I prefer driving.
25-30 MPG on '03 C2
22 MPG on '99 C2
I am guessing that keeping the rev's up on the '99 to get the torque is responsible for the lousy mileage. Doesn't have cats either, which would help the mileage you'd think
Fuel mileage isn't really important other than from an operating expense POV, though i find it interesting to keep track. If I can get 21.77mpg the way i push the car day in and day out, maybe someday I'll try an experiment and drive it calmly for a few tanks and see if i can get 15%-20% better, though those would be 650 of the most boring miles ever so probably not gonna happen.
Don't drive calmly, You'll start listening to the news or some podcast to keep your brain engaged. It will end up driving you crazy...
Fuel mileage is not a concern. I watch it to gauge any issues with the fuel / combustion system.
I'm at 8333 miles since purchase. The car has 95830 miles. I've used 405 ga of gas, mostly 94 octane (no 93 here) for an average of 20.6. Sometimes I'll get stuck away from the only 94 pump I know and have to use 91, but I'll only put in what I need to get back to the 94 pump. Love California!
