Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The IMS & UAOS Solutions My 996 is scheduled in two weeks for the LN IMS Solution install. I live in Houston, and will drive 300 miles to the Dallas area for Mayo Performance to do the install. Mayo Performance is the shop in Texas listed as the preferred installer by LN. I had emailed Chris Amond several months back with questions regarding the process and requirements. His office has always been quick to reply and guide me along the way. I recently received the new UAOS, thats been discussed on this forum, and they will install this at the same time as the IMS work. The team at Mayo Performance seem top-notch, and Im looking forward to the final results. Ill report back when everything is completed!

POST 2Original post

Cool. Good shop. I did my low mile 04 996 IMSS and new AOS last year with local preferred shop. Passing the pre qualification test and getting my 5k desk paper weight (IMSB was in like new condition of course) was a bitter sweet day. Good luck.

POST 3Original post

I think you made a good choice on having the UAOS done at the same time as the IMS. You may want to tackle the rear main seal and clutch with the gearbox is separated. If your paying a shop to do the work, its not trivial from a cost perspective to have the gearbox pulled later for those items. If you are comfy pulling the gearbox yourself, its lesser of a concern to lump in while the shop has it apart as you can elect to do those things if needed and its just your labor. Something to think about.
