Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

No need to trade mine in for a jeep - just swapped the psp's out for some 31' General Grabbers ...
Leading evidence: 'Replace psp's out' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace psp's out' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Well, the Jeep didn't work out, so I picked up a '99 Carrera 4 in black, full aerokit, with a GT3 wing:
I traded my '99 C4 to a private party today for a 2007 Jeep Patriot Limited with 138K miles. Lots of options, including:
Air conditioning
Privacy glass (dark tint) all around
Rear climate control
Innsbruck limited-edition 19x8's all around
Laser jamming/radar
Full leather interior
Offroad package, including minimum 9.5" ground clearance
Optional Freedom Drive (trail-rated) transmission
Low-range (hill-descent) mode
Skid-plating
I'll miss the 996, but I'm looking forward to playing with this off-road monster.
Nice
Was about to put a locking differential in the back of mine, then the 996 came along... Last year completed a crap ton of body work to it: new door bottoms, new rocker, cleaned up above the windshield, front quarter panels. It's good for a while now.
Plus, unlike our ticking time bomb engines, that 4.0 will keep going - at 180k miles it's just starting to get broken in!
This thread is "ripe" for some Henny Youngman:
A guy: "I got a car for my wife"
Second guy: "Where can I get that same deal?"
My wife asked me to take her someplace she's never been.
I took her to the kitchen.
Awesome. My first JEEP was one similar to yours and I regretted trading it in. I. Glad to see you keeping it on (or off) the road. I had a 2" lift ready to, but lowered the 996 instead. Kinda ironic.
Forgot the bottom of the tailgate is new too...
The "problem" was that we/I have put about $1k a year into the jeep over the past 5 years, well maybe not that much, but enough to where that it wouldn't be worth trading in and it wouldn't be worth letting rot. So, found a guy that did really affordable body work out of his garage (epoxy, but that's fine) and he went through the car. Looks pretty good, and now at least the body is going to last another 10 years.
Not sure what the plans are, but it's not really worth enough to trade in for anything, not really a daily driver, and may just be my winter car when I can't drive the 996. Maybe have plans to put more aggressive off road tires on it, but no real plans to off road it or anything.
Who knows, it is one of the few with body work done so maybe in 5-10 years it would be worth something.
