Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I replaced my front discs with Zimmermans and OEM pads, and will do the same when my rear brakes need replacement.
Leading evidence: 'Replace front discs' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace four rotors and all the pads' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I'm running ProSpeed high temp brake fluid (just flushed and changed last March).

I use Balo Coated rotors - these are fairly priced.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

My brake workshop warning came on this afternoon. I know my rear pads are thin, so I suspect that they finally got thin enough to activate the sensor. I think I'll go ahead and change all four rotors and all the pads. I'm currently running OEM pads and rotors. I'm running ProSpeed high temp brake fluid (just flushed and changed last March).
I'm in the process of deciding what to use for replacement pads and rotors. I will probably do a DE this fall as the season wraps up, so I'm thinking of putting more of a sport pad on the car. I haven't ever done this - I've always used OEM parts.
Any thoughts or favorite combinations I should consider? I don't really care about brake dust - I wash the car enough that it doesn't really bother me.
Rotors are a wear item, and should be priced as such. I use Balo Coated rotors - these are fairly priced. Balo is OEM for BMW and Audi.
I use them with Stoptech Street Performance pads, which are a nice hybrid pad for street/autox use, but if you're DEing, go more aggressive.
No snow on the peaks yet. It has been a hot summer. That being said, it's starting to cool down. It was in the low 40s this morning at my house. I hiked up on Mt. Evans a few weeks ago and it was snowing, but not really sticking yet. It won't be long.
I use OEM rotors, and Pagid Black (RS14) race pads. While the braking is absolutely stellar for track, it's less than desirable for the street. So, i use OE pads for the street. There is no reason to get pads which are not only going to squeal, but have less than instant bite in the cold. I've had plenty of experience w/ running Pagid orange and the yellow pads on the street and on the track.
Black > Yellow Endurance >Orange > OE for track
OE > Yellow Endurance > Orange > Black for the street.
