Bought the clutch used so I don't know but if I had to guess, I would say it is not original.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

When I bought the car, the seller had told me the clutch had already been replaced at one time, but when I pulled it, it looks like this might be an oem part, any thoughts?
Great, now that we got that cleared up (not really).........
So disregard the oem if that is throwing some one off, are the engraved 996 FL and part numbers the way they look on a factory original part. Thanks for any input.

Hehe.... RngTrtl, I agree....
Car is an 04, all I am trying to figure out is if the previous owner lied about the clutch being replaced. Does that pressure plate look like a factory original, or is it also what the service part looks like if he would have taken it to the dealer to get the clutch done as well. Thanks again.
Factory OE parts will have the Porsche triangle symbol trademark.
However with just THAT part number (it is the original part number for MY04, it was used in production starting on 08/26/2002) you can't tell if it was installed by a dealer or at the factory. You could try asking a service advisor at a Porsche dealership to see if they have anything in the system for your VIN?
