I replaced the tires with Continental ExtremeContact DWS.

Suggestion
Going to 235/35 and 275/30 when replacing the current set and I shouldn’t have any problems.

Im currently running 295/30r19 potenza S-04�s with no rubbing on a 996.2 NB.

Long time reader & first time poster that has owned my '99 since 2015. The car came with 19" Sport Design wheels and Pirellis from a 2007 Carrera. I replaced the tires with Continental ExtremeContact DWS. 295/30 19 and 235/35 19. No rubbing, but so very close. When I bought the Conti's I learned a lot about how tires are slightly different dimensions even if the same size...as an example, my Pirellis did rub. Continental stopped making the DWS in this size, so now I am looking at replacements. BTW, my preference would be 18" tires/wheels, but until I find the right set, I welcome ideas from other 996 Narrow Body C2 owners that have success with 19' wheels.

Hi. I bought 19� wheels for my 2002 Carrera Canriolet narrow body. I checked with Tirerack and this is what they recommend.
235/35-19�
275/30-19
So that�s what I went with. If I was doing this again I would have gone with 285 in the rear because the rim has no protection from the rubber in the rear so I really have to be careful about rim rash. Handling is great with the Continental DWS-06 all season tires for everyday driving and the lifespan is supposed to be awesome. I drive the car all year here in NJ except when there�s snow or salt on the roads. This was an awesome year with very little snow. Good luck with your decision.
I currently have 225/35 (8.5” wide) front and 265/35 (10” wide) rear on my 19” wheels, it’s what they came with. Going to 235/35 and 275/30 when replacing the current set and I shouldn’t have any problems. My C4 is lowered on Bilstein B8 struts and H&R springs.
Nice! I would think 275's would be fine. I like the look of the 295s on the back...and the Conti's fit. Just want some assurance other brands of 295s would fit...since they are all slightly different dimensions...even if the same size.

I would go to a 285/30 rear without hesitation and I actually want to. What’s stopping me is, Michelin does not currently make 285/30/19 in the PS4S and I don’t want to go with PSS. but if they do make that size available by the time I need tires then that’s what I’ll go with.
The 295�s fitting a NB are going to depend a lot on the offset of your wheels. What�s the offset?

Front Wheels: 8Jx19 ET57 (has an 8 and 57 by valve stem)
Rear Wheels: 11Jx19 ET67 (has an 11 and 67 by valve stem)

Thanks, I like the setup, came from 5 spoke 18's w 285's, I didn't give u much ride harshness, versus Grip levels, (plus increased cool factor)
Tires sits closer to wheel opening than it appears here, Rough pull off area. Left side dropped off camber
I think Tires are what you expect from them, Max performance cost more, People have to weigh Cost per mile/vs expected outcome smile.
