Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Suspected cause

Temporarily install a trusted "manual gauge" to accurately test the actual oil pressure, if OK, then you can rest easy and troubleshoot the electronic gauge.( probably the sender or sender wiring)

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I'm trusting the gauge for now because it worked perfectly fine prior to working on it.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi everyone! I have a '99 911 c2 that I just did an overhaul on. This included new tires, rotors, pads, IMS from LNE, flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, fuel filter , engine oil, and gear oil. After a month of working on it, I go to turn it on, and....no oil pressure. I double-checked that everything is connected, all the fuses work, and the battery has enough charge. I searched the internet and saw a lot of posts about people experiencing low oil pressure, but couldn't really find anything for no oil-pressure. What do you think?

POST 2Original post

Are you trusting the notoriously inaccurate and failure prone factory oil pressure gauge to determine you have no oil pressure? Or do you have other symptoms/tests that indicate no oil pressure?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm trusting the gauge for now because it worked perfectly fine prior to working on it. How would you recommend testing?
