Anyways, I removed my stock Becker CDR23 and one of the connectors from the Becker has me stumped....there is a small, yellow connector, called Connector "C" (6 pins, however, only 4 are used) that according to the pinout is for CAN Comfort.

I don't believe this gets connected to anything in the new stereo (an Alpine ILX-W650), however, wanted to check w/ the experts here to be sure.

I have the HiFi MOST system in the car but will be replacing the factory amp with an Alpine unit, as well.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all, I'm in the process of installing an aftermarket radio into my 2003 C4. I have the HiFi MOST system in the car but will be replacing the factory amp with an Alpine unit, as well. Anyways, I removed my stock Becker CDR23 and one of the connectors from the Becker has me stumped....there is a small, yellow connector, called Connector "C" (6 pins, however, only 4 are used) that according to the pinout is for CAN Comfort. The 4 pins that are used of the 6 are: CAN Comfort HIGH, CAN Comfort LOW, Wakeup Diagnosis, and Keycode IN. I don't believe this gets connected to anything in the new stereo (an Alpine ILX-W650), however, wanted to check w/ the experts here to be sure. Thanks in advance-
