Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'Clean from pictures' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Clean from pictures' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I've been car shopping for two months, driven all sorts of stuff, and nothing got my heart pounding. At all. In looking for a Cayenne I stumbled across a local dealer that had a '99 996 sitting around and I drove it on a complete lark and was smitten.
That car had too many issues, but after some intensive searching I found a 2000 in my very same town and took it home a day and a half ago. Had to get a tip because I am in heavy traffic every day. 68k, possibly one owner, records from IMA Motorsport going back years, RMS, IMS, water pump, all done. I have to replace the rear tires and the headunit (it's a very old and obnoxiously colored Pioneer) but other than that I think it's fine as-is. I like simple and to me this car's lines are perfect.

Thanks all for the kind words.
Probably no exterior mods at all. In my previous life (i.e., before kids) I came from a line of German classics (2002s, 1600s, 325is, M6, etc) and I invariably regretted my exterior mods. Whether it was just second-guessing or not, I guess I like how the factory did it, which is what brought me to the car in the first place.

I'm a mod-a-holic too, but I'm often struck by how beautiful and well suited to sporty driving on public roads a base, stock 911 (or Boxster) is.
It's perfect. Welcome!
