Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Is it possible to take a standard lifting spoiler harness and eliminate the extra rear brake light and the lifting spoiler part from a standard harness. I have a fixed wing that I just bought. I have a 99 and an extra harness. I wanted to try before I looked at buying one because I know they are expensive. Just curious what wires to cut etc. Thanks Joey

POST 2Original post

Yes i have done it. Most of the wires dissapear. I went as far as to depin the plug but u can just safe them off. Not sure if u have to reset something with the pwis to kill the spoiler fault light. My car was already set up for a aero spolier. Get a copy of the Bentley manual or find a schemetic. Its not that hard to break it down.

POST 3Original post

I recall seeing an option in the Durametric software to enable a "fixed rear spoiler" flag, which I assume would disable any spoiler fault lights.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have an extra harness that I dont mine cutting up. I just dont want the light on him the dash and want the other rear brake light in the I rear to work.

What wing do u have. Neither mk1 or 2 aerokit wings have a light. U may have to make a custom jumper for an additional 3rd brake light. Do u have a cab?

It is a coupe. I am talking about the rear brake light on the car below the rear window. I had read if the light in the rear spoiler isnt grounded etc then the rear brake light below window will not work. Maybe I read it wrong. The wing doesnt have a brake light.

POST 7Original post

Im not sure either but if i remember correctly there r several grounds that have to be removed or tied together so its possible. Like i said i just used the gt3 and the standard c2 scematic and figured it out. If u dont want to do the work i believe Getty Design has a harness for around $150.

POST 8Original post

I used this diagram when I did main. In my case I used the 02 configuration.
