I just happened to park the Porsche on the other side of the driveway as I was in the process of getting all the boxes of parts together for replacing the radiators with some CFS as well as adding a third radiator.

Soon I will use a magnetic broom and sweep up the area before I put the car back into the garage.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just happened to park the Porsche on the other side of the driveway as I was in the process of getting all the boxes of parts together for replacing the radiators with some CFS as well as adding a third radiator. Just as I went into the house for lunch, I heard this tremendous noise! ...... I have to count my blessings as this could have been a bigger issue as not only did the tree miss the Porsche but all of the limbs and debris scattered all around and missed the car completely as if something was looking out for it. Soon I will use a magnetic broom and sweep up the area before I put the car back into the garage. I am currently waiting for all the honey bees to settle down as there was a huge nest.....the local beekeeper stopped by and did what he could. No doubt that later tonight it will be consumed by our friendly raccoon and bob the bear. I can start to chain saw the trunk and clear the driveway. I want to thank the far east and all of those wonderful people who imported the Emerald Ash Bore.

POST 2Original post

Holy crap. Definitely a time to be grateful for you, my friend.

POST 3Original post

Wow! That's a big tree. Porsche gods smiled on you...

POST 4Original post

Oh man bro... thankfully your car survived and no one was injured.

POST 7Original post

We have the Ash killing beetle here in Toronto as well. Almost every Ash tree in the city was lost. Great that the pcar is 👍

POST 8Original post

I have a 200+ year old Burr Oak in the back yard. I have to have a section removed due to a two-lined borer beetle that has decided to plant its larva into the base. Holes all over. Too bad we are losing so many trees these days. Glad you are safe and got lucky!
